Tami, from Stonebridge Design Co. contacted us about a surprise proposal she had been hired to set up at a cottage in Orillia. She needed a photographer but wanted one specifically good with low light and shooting at dusk/night time. We'd recently photographed a night time, candle lit ceremony for a client. So, we sent her over a link along with some sample photos and she got back to us saying we'd be perfect for the job!
Jeff had in his mind a very specific vision: a rose petal pathway as soon as you entered the cottage, illuminated by candles, that led to the rear of the cottage. Set up out there would be candles set up in the shape of a heart, for Jeff to propose in the middle of. Tami did such an amazing job both inside and out, and the lake in the background made for the perfect romantic setting.
As the time approached, we huddled around the back corner of the cottage, anxiously awaiting their arrival. The plan was to have music cued upon their entry into the cottage and to follow the floral path to the outside. When that happened, we popped out and began to photograph her surprise, and his surprise proposal. Everything came together so well and she said YES!
This was hands down one of our favourite surprise proposals. Congrats Jeff and Mel!
