Ryan and Jessica's Christmas Eve Day wedding was a winter wonderland, but first, let us tell you how they met. It's a heartwarming story. You see, Ryan is a paramedic who was called one day to respond with his partner to a gentleman having a heart attack. That person just so happened to be Jessica's Dad. He ended up being ok and Jessica exchanged phone numbers with Ryan to update him on his progress and let him know how her Dad was doing. This chance meeting turned into a friendship which blossomed into a romantic relationship. Eventually, they would set a wedding date and that's where we come into this story.
We started out our wedding day coverage at the home of Jessica's parents, joined also by her brother and his wife, as well as Jessica's shy cat. Upon arriving at the church, we were informed that this was the first wedding at Wyevale United Church in 20 years. WOW. The light streaming in the church windows was perfect and so was the snow covered landscape nearby for romantic bride and groom photos. Ice formed along the shore made for the best backdrop. Also, we loved Jessica's winter cape :)
The intimate reception took place downtown Barrie at the Town and Country Steakhouse. We highly recommend it! Dinner, dancing, tear-jerking speeches and lots of laughter filled the room. We're so lucky to be a part of these moments. It was our first Christmas Eve Day wedding and boy was it lots of fun.
Congrats to Ryan and Jessica! What a great way to end 2019.
