We started out at the Grand Hotel for Mark and Andrea's wedding. We've photographed there before and it was nice to return, it's one of our favourite spots to shoot downtown for the "getting ready" photos. We took the boys up to the rooftop to have some fun. It has beautifully panoramic views of the city, and the foggy weather added to the backdrop. The girls opted to have fun in their room while getting ready, but we managed to coax them out to the front staircase of the hotel for a quick snap of the three of them.
The Berkeley Church is a VERY funky venue and has so many neat features to it. It's definitely a workout, we traversed up and down 3 sets of stairs with our gear in tow, all evening. Totally worth it though! The basement has an almost "prohibition era" look to it, with exposed brick and cool decor. This is where we did most of the wedding party photos, as well as some romantic bride and groom portraits. As we're prone to do, with our curiosity, we checked a lot of doors to see where they led. One little red door opened up to a tiny side courtyard, with hanging Edison lights. This venue is such a gem and the gift that keeps on giving for photographers.
