We've developed a special relationship with these two newlyweds, Dallas and Emma. Previously, we photographed Emma's parents' wedding and ever since then we've been fortunate to get to know everyone that much better. So, we were honoured when Emma reached out to ask us to capture their wedding memories surrounded by family and friends at Highlands Nordic. It's nestled high in the hills overlooking the beautiful waters of Georgian Bay. The weather (for the most part) managed to cooperate and they were able to have their outdoor ceremony as planned. 

The self-styled decor very much reflected their personalities. Once inside the tent, for the reception part of the day, it was evident how much planning and effort went into it all. No guest had an empty cup or plate for very long. The BBQ'd food and late night pizza delivery kept all of our bellies full. There was plenty of howling and laughter during the speeches, especially the bride and groom's speech! Afterward, the dance floor opened up and the revelry began.

On a personal note, this year has seen us photograph a lot of weddings in the Collingwood area (with a few still to come). It's what we'd hoped for when we took a chance and bought our dream home near Flesherton. We love this area and the people we've met and really gotten to know.
