This wasn't our first time shooting at the Millcroft Inn and Spa, but it was certainly one of our most unique "first looks". Adjacent to the main stone building lies a small forest of cedars with their exposed roots and funky paths. We set Mike up with his back to the direction that Deb was coming from. It was cool to capture her walking through the trees toward Mike. We always love the emotions of a first look, or first reveal, and this one didn't disappoint. Deb came through the stone arch toward the waterfall to see Mike waiting for her and we were able to snap some great pics!
Another way that Deb and Mike chose to make their wedding day unique was to schedule in quite a few family photos before the ceremony time. One of the ways we try to help our clients stay on schedule is by asking for a list of family photos. We pick a nice, well lit spot and create a structure and order to them to keep the day running on time. It was great to see both sides of their respective families having fun and hamming it up for the camera.
They had an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and close friends with the accompanying sound of the nearby waterfall.
