We couldn't have planned a more Canadian way to spend our July 1st long weekend. On Canada Day we woke up bright and early to start our road trip to Sharbot Lake. It's about a 4 hour drive from our place, so we dialled up some 80s New Wave on Spotify, to play in the truck. We had planned a meet and greet with Kelsey and Tyler at 2pm, to say hi as well as do some location pre-scouting.
They showed us where the wedding ceremony would take place as well as explaining where cocktail hour was to be spent. We hopped on some ATVs to zip over to a secluded waterfront location, which was meant solely for their romantic couple's photos.
The tornado warnings from our wedding the previous day followed us on our journey and we watched quite a storm roll through from the safe confines of our Airbnb in Kingston, later that evening.
The next day, despite the weather forecast, beautiful weather made an appearance for both the ceremony and photos to follow. Everyone enjoyed some cocktails by the dock, food and games at the Lake House and then we all headed to the reception at the Hall in town.
What a lovely way to end our Canada Day weekend! Congratulations Kelsea & Tyler!.
