We met up with Chris and Stephanie an hour before sunset time, to take their engagement photos. It's our favourite time of day to shoot and is referred to as "golden hour". Often times we'll have some back and forth as to location selection, to help couples. This time though they were pretty gung-ho about the first stop on our journey. It's a secluded logging forest just south Georgian Bay and was specially selected because they had their first date there. We have to confess, it's not often - in fact never - that we go off roading for an engagement photos session but it was a blast! Our Dodge Ram 4x4 was certainly up to the task. To top it off we even managed to find spots in the pine forest floor that still had some snow, as we've had a lot of melting and mild weather lately. We moved around speedily and got some great shots! Then it was off to the races to our next location, so to speak, to make it to Wasaga Beach in time for another epic Georgian Bay sunset. The high winds had blown a lot of ice in making for a beautiful landscape, but boy oh boy was it brisk! To make Chris and Stephanie feel at ease we kept jokingly telling them to "look warm" LOL. It capped the evening off wonderfully. In one direction along the bay, toward Blue Mountain was a golden sunset, and if we turned 180 degrees it was soft hues of blue and pink. They are such an adventurous couple and we're SO looking forward to their summer wedding at Marlwood Golf Course.
