Fun, laughter and sincere moments. This is how we can best describe our day with Chris and Melissa. We knew when we arrived and greeted everyone, at their Living Waters Hotel rooms, that they came to party! For the boys, we decided to take them down to the Lakeside Seafood and Grill restaurant for some "getting ready" photos on the patio. To our surprise, the ladies spotted us all from their vantage point above on their balcony. Whistles and wisecracks ensued. Then, when we headed to the ladies' hotel room the hilarity and giggles continued. One of Melissa's bridesmaids joked about taking some photos in the large tub in the room, along with the wedding party and bride to be. Not being ones to back down from a challenge and what promised to be potentially funny photos, we obliged and were well rewarded when the water for the tub was accidentally turned on. Their genuine laughter and the craziness of the situation made for some of our favourite pics of the day.
Fast forward to their wedding ceremony and once again we were blessed with great weather. Their outdoor nuptials by the waterfront of Georgian Bay were equally touching and romantic, followed up by family photos at the willow trees on the property (one of our fave spots!)
One of the great things about the venue they chose (Living Waters Resort) is that for couples who want to stay all on site, it offers varying locations for photographers to still give a bunch of different looks. So, before the dinner and speeches we popped up to the rooftop of the Living Waters Hotel for some wedding party photos. The boys even busted out the top hats for some pics, to kick it up a notch in the formal wear department. A nice touch. They were a great group to work with.
Thanks again Chris and Melissa for hiring us to be a part of your special day :)
P.S. Check out their awesome, double-sided wedding cake!
